Plot
Two sisters of Tanaka, Chiyo and Satsu, young people of 8 and 9 years of age, Chiyo is accepted in the okiya, and his sister taken to a brothel, where she escapes time later. Chiyo after her failed attempt to escape becomes a slave. One day he was on the banks of the Sunagawa River, where he met the president, whom he fell in love with. Later, Mameha turns Chiyo into her younger sister, changes her name to Sayuri and teaches her the art of a geisha, turning it into maiko, later he becomes a geisha, the best of all okiya, being the successor of Okasan, for which Pumpkin dislikes, since that was his dream. Beginning World War II Sayuri hides in a kimono factory, a friend of Nobu, and he asks him to accompany him and a future American investor, and thus get out of poverty and become his "danna", Sayuri accepts with the illusion of seeing the president again, a misfortune occurs causing the president to move away, it is then that accepts that Nobu be your danna.

In the movie memoirs of a geisha you can recover the message of not disparage others, the overcoming, as Chiyo who passed from a slave to the most famous geisha of Okiya, or tiunfara always love despite everything, like Sayuri's love for the president, a love that lasted many years, but in the end all his effort was not in vain, I manage to be next to the president.

Ideal ending (create your own ending)
Sayuri, tries to alienate Nobu, but ended up turning away the president. She does not know what to do but her love for the president is so great that she falls into an inner desperation, it only stands firm because of its geisha pride. She accepts as her danna to Nobu, which he realized this misfortune, he lets the first woman he has loved to be happy with his best friend, besides that also she had noticed strange behavior in the president. Finally Sayuri and the president manage to live a life of pair and to form a family, since after the war, the term of geisha was lost, so all geishas now find themselves free from the law not to have no family, or to know love.
